Data Attributions
Building permit data on this site is sourced from open data portals operated by municipalities across Canada. Each municipality publishes its data under an Open Government Licence or Creative Commons licence that permits commercial use with attribution.
Attribution statement
If you republish or incorporate data obtained from this service into your own products, you must attribute the originating municipality in the form required by that municipality's licence:
- For Open Government Licence (OGL) sources: "Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – [Municipality Name]."
- For Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0) sources: "Source: [Municipality Name] (CC BY 4.0)" with a link to the licence text where practical.

Boundary and area polygons
Neighbourhood and area boundaries shown on this site are republished from each city's open data programme under that city's open-data licence — including the Open Government Licence – Winnipeg for Winnipeg's 237 neighbourhood polygons. Boundary republication is subject to the same attribution requirement as permit data, and does not imply any endorsement by the City of Winnipeg.
