Description: High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - Interior and exterior alterations for a new restaurant tenant in this existing 3 story commercial building. The work will include a new commercial kitchen and reconfiguration of interior space. Existing rated suite demising walls and egress routes will not be modified as part of this project. Proposed exterior alterations will include replacing storefront glazing and doors facing Hamilton street and painting of ground floor of elevation. Rev #1 - This Permit has been revised September 27, 2017 to include the work on the kitchen and related kitchen hood ventilation and fire suppression systems. Revision 5: Installation of ecology unit and required fire suppression system on the 11th October, 2019. Kitchen System Notes: 1. Class 1 cooking operations (Grease-Laden Vapours). 2. Commercial kitchen exhaust system to NFPA 96 (Type 1 hood). 3. The Solid Fuel Cooking Operation (Wood Burning Appliance) and the Solid Fuel Storage areas to comply with the 2014 VBBL, NFPA 96 and metro Vancouver by-laws as outlined in the Building Code Report prepared by Thorson McAuley Certified Professionals dated April 6, 2017. Revision 2: Separate washrooms to be provided to the staff and maximum occupant load for patrons will be 200.
