Description

Certified Professional Program - New Building - Redevelopment of Vancouver College, including new school facility, Child Care (Out of School Care) and residence. Phase 1A - Replace existing residence with new middle school building, including use of the Dining Hall, Learning Commons, and Classrooms for Out of School Care for Vancouver College students and approved as a Child Day Care Facility. Phase 1B - Replace existing school building with a new elementary school, including a residence, chapel, and administrative offices, and interior alterations to the existing secondary school on the site. All works related to streets, sidewalks, and landscaping on City property is to be approved through a separate process in conjunction with Engineering Services. Licensing Approval for the Child Day Care Facility - Out of School care - to be conducted by Vancouver Coastal Health. Installation of commercial kitchen in the Middle School is excluded from scope of work covered by this permit. Revision #1 - Commercial Kitchen design (issued October 30, 2017). Vancouver College Redevelopment (VCR) will be constructed in 3 stages: Stage 1 - 5411 Hudson (Phase 1A) - new 3-storey Middle School on the West side of the site along Cartier St. Stage II - 5401 Hudson (Phase 1B) new construction - 2-storey Elementary School on the North side of the site. Stage III - 5421 Hudson (Renovation) the existing Secondary School building at the S/E corner of the site will remain and will undergo some renovations. Revision #2 - revise the project description to keep consistent with DP-2016-00145
