- Field Review - Addition / Alteration - Interior alterations to remove the unauthorized suite on the lower floor and to provide improvements to this existing One-Family Dwelling Building. Exterior alterations are to remove one unauthorized door on the lower floor on the south elevation and one unauthorized door on the lower floor on the north elevation by filling in the exterior walls; and remove door on the lower floor on the east elevation and replace with a new window. Exterior walls to match existing cedar shingles Scope of interior alterations includes: construction of new interconnecting stairs between the lower and main floors to comply with VBBL 9.8; removal of storage under porch and converting portions of this space into a bedroom and expanded bathroom; relocation of furnace and hot water tank; and reconfiguring lower floor interior wall layout. Note: 1. Structural Schedule B Submitted by Richard Herfst, Struct. Eng., 604.553.0524 2. Remove the hood fan, range and all associated wiring up to the supply breaker in the unauthorized suite on the lower floor. 3. Any discontinued domestic water pipes and drainage pipes related to the removal of the unauthorized suite to be permanently capped off. 4. Scope of work to include energy and building upgrades in accordance with Article 11.2.1.4 of the 2014 Vancouver Building By-law. Building envelope air sealing and upgrading attic insulation are required. OK for field review as per Howie Chow, May 12, 2017.
