- Field Review - Addition / Alteration - Exterior/interior alterations to infill two 4' x 4' wall sections below grade at the Seymour street facade of this existing commercial/residential building. Ok for field review per L Clarke Apr 19, 2017 No DP required Letters of Assurance Submitted: Schedule B - Structural Exempt from ASHRAE energy upgrades. Engineering Conditions: •\tConstruct a “cut-off” wall for both cavities, designed by a Professional Engineer, built within the building’s property line capable of supporting the loads imposed by the backfill material and sidewalk surcharge loads. A building permit is required for this work; •\tWaterproofing the “cut-off” walls to prevent water infiltration into your basement; •\tRemove the roof structure of the cavity, break down the outer walls, backfill the hole and install a temporary asphalt patch where the cavity was. Backfill and the temporary asphalt patch shall meet the requirements of the City of Vancouver Street Restoration Manual; •\tSubmit to the city an attestation from a Professional Engineer stating that all work has been completed in compliance with the City of Vancouver Street Restoration Manual requirements; and •\tTerminate the encroachment agreement by filing a Form C release document, in accordance with Land Title Act provisions, prepared by a solicitor or notary public.
