- Field Review - Addition / Alteration - Interior alterations and change of use of this existing two-storey, one-family dwelling to a one-family dwelling with a secondary suite, with 2 off-street parking provided in the attached carport, having vehicular access off of Salsbury. Exterior alterations to remove the unauthorized storage room addition at the SW corner, removal of a 6'0" by 4'0" window and replacing it with a 3'0" by 6'8" door to be used to access the secondary suite off of Venables, alterations to the front entry door to the principal dwelling unit (change from two doors to a door w/ two sidelights), removal of one window on the west elevation, and removal of one window on the east elevation and replacing it w/ two windows. Structural Schedule B submitted by Garry Kirkham, Struct. Eng., 604.876.4377. Exterior alterations for new doors and windows approved as per Ban Kubba, August 15, 2017. OK for field review as per Howie Chow, July 18, 2017. Address Note: 923 Salsbury Drive - south side 1st & 2nd storey (principal dwelling unit) 1788 Venables St - north side 1st storey (secondary suite) Address has been assigned per the approved plans as the access to the secondary suite is from the north side. This access must be provided and maintained at all times; the address must be posted to be easily visible from the street; AND posted by the suite entry in accordance with the Building By-law upon final inspection. Note: 1) Scope of work includes upgrading for suite as per IA-2016-00644 and energy upgrades in accordance with Article 11.2.1.4 of the 2014 VBBL. Building envelope air sealing and upgrading attic insulation are required. 2) no strata-titling will be permitted. 3) This is a two-storey building pursuance to the Zoning and Development By-law. 4) An annual Vancouver Business License must be obtained prior to the rental of this approved one-family dwelling and/or secondary suite on this site.
