The work will be split into two (2) Building permits with construction being finalized by March 2023. Updated Letter of commitment dated March 7, 2022 by the owner William So on file. Building Permit #1(BP#1) - BP-2018-04014. This Permit was processed under the VBBL 2014. Change of major occupancy and interior alteration to provide tenant improvements in unit Unit 101 - 5550 Fraser Street to accommodate Aquaventures Swim Centre. Note: Scope of work includes full upgrade within Unit 101, full structural upgrade of the entire building (S4) , as well as full upgrade the Fire alarm and installation of a new sprinkler system conforming to NFPA 13 within the entire building. As noted in the Letter of Commitment by William So, some of the components of F4 & A4 design upgrades, mostly related to the safe operation of Unit #101 and common areas will be completed under BP-2018-04014 by Oct. 1, 2022. The Owner committed to complete this Permit by Oct 1, 2022. Building Permit #2 ( BP#2). This Permit will be processed under the VBBL 2019. The Owner committed to apply for BP #2 by Oct 1, 2022 and to complete the work by March 2023. The owner committed to use services of the same deign team hired for DB-2019-03855 ( to be withdrawn). Scope of work for BP#2 will include: 1. Building Envelope upgrade, restrain exterior falling hazards & to complete the full upgrade of the base building to F4, S4, N4, E4 and A4 design level upgrades commenced under the BP#1. 2. Replacement of the storefront and cladding at West elevation facing Fraser St. and tenant improvement works for one tenant space within this building. Location of the tenant space is not specified.
