A structural assessment was provided demonstrating that the building meets S3/N3 requirements of the VBBL. Exterior alterations accepted by planner Georgina Lyons, May 14, 2018. The building at 220 Cambie Street is protected heritage property. Alteration to the exterior of the heritage building requires a Heritage Alteration Permit issued with the approval of the Director of Planning. We support the attached stamped application and ask that you process it with the following wording included in the Development Permit: “1)\tInterior alterations to install a staff-only area on the third floor and exterior alterations to provide ducting to a new make-up air unit and kitchen exhaust fan located at the roof level of this existing Municipally Designated Heritage M commercial building. A structural assessment was provided demonstrating that the building meets S3/N3 requirements of the VBBL. The alterations described under item no. 1 above, authorized by Combined Permit Number DB-2018-02541 including conditions and plans forming part thereof, are approved under the Heritage By-law and this permit also constitutes a Heritage Alteration Permit.” Kitchen System Notes: 1. Class 1 cooking operations (Grease-Laden Vapours). 2. Commercial kitchen exhaust system to NFPA 96 (Type 1 hood). Permit amendment approved Feb.14/19
