Field Review - Addition / Alteration - To remove vinyl siding and repair the existing stucco siding underneath on the exterior walls and interior alterations to all suites to do bathroom and kitchen repairs in this multiple dwelling building on this site. OK for field review as per David Jung, May.03/18 Letters of assurance rcvd W N Robertson 604.688.5585 Energy upgrade: All new replacement appliances have an EnergyStar rating and all replacement lighting fixtures (if applicable) will be hardwired LED. The scope of work is considered a major renovation Required adequate smoke detection is provided and interconnected amongst all spaces within the building and to also address with the current exiting system that lack sufficient separation. enhancing the detection system by providing a greater level of smoke detection at the lower floor opening such that smoke migration originating from this level would be sufficiently contained to activate a nearby detector (typically this could be achieved via a smoke baffle and a closely located smoke detector or some other similar method that would attain this performance). I am requiring smoke detector coverage in the storage/mechanical room (heat detectors) as well as the individual bedrooms of each suite for better coverage and is consistent with current code requirements. The detection/alarm work will require a full electrical permit.
