The travel distance for this retail food unit (which its operation is similar to a restaurant) exceeds the requirements of VBBL for a retail unit, however it is accepted for this application only as if it was a low occupant load suite of A2 Major Occupancy Classification in compliance with VBBL 3.1.2.6 as the operation is similar. Any future building permit applications must also demonstrate compliance with VBBL for travel distance to exit. Revision-1 April 9, 2021 MUA unit is changed to direct gas fired unit.
