Description

High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - Interior alterations to provide voluntary Fire Alarm System upgrades in this existing 4-storey office building on this site, option #1 per bulletin 2018-004-BU/EL. * An updated Fire Safety Plan with 2-stage Fire Alarm procedures is required to be submitted to VF&RS. Scope of work: - Provide & install new two-stage, addressable NFS2-3030 fire alarm panel. Panel will be relocated from Level 4 to main lobby entrance, including a new riser. - Provide & install new smoke detectors in front of elevator lobbies and top of elevator shaft. - The fire alarm panel upgrade will install new initiating devices to facilitate the future Freight Elevator Modernization for elevator recall. - Provide & install new pull stations as per drawings. - Existing relays to be reconnected and existing sequence of operation to remain. Building Review Branch Notes: - Schedule B (Architectural & Electrical) submitted - Installation and Verification of the fire alarm system shall be in conformance with CAN/ULC-S524-14 and CAN/ULC-S537-13 * Reviewed as per VBBL 2019 and issued during 2020/2021 Pandemic Crisis.
