Description

High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - To move this existing two-storey one-family dwelling (Group C) Vancouver Heritage A building to the west side of this lot. Scope of work to include: - Interior alterations to allow salvage of non-structural building components prior to or during abatement work and removal of non-structural hazardous materials. - Remove any vegetation that does not need to be protected (as per arborist report and approved BP plans) - Alterations to remove portions of the heritage house w/o heritage significance in accordance with the Heritage Conservation Plan. The removal of exterior windows, exterior doors, brick chimney, and granite stone columns/foundations that have heritage significance as outlined in the Heritage Conservation Report. The refurbishment, and reinstallation of these components will be part of the Phase 2 building permit application. - Remove exterior siding - Remove the plaster to allow building to be braced for the house move - A temporary excavation overhanging the new PL by about 1m until such time as the new foundation for the heritage house is built (no permit application for the permanent foundation has yet been received) - The location of the heritage house adjacent to the new PL such that it will not comply with the VBBL with respect to spatial separation until the renovation completed (no permit application yet received for the renovation that will result in VBBL compliance) - Relocate existing Heritage "A" house on same property. Building Review Branch Notes: 1.Reviewed during the 2020 pandemic crisis 2.This is a Phase 1 building permit application. Phase 2 building permit will include new foundations, and full upgrade of this Heritage building in accordance with Part 11 of the VBBL 2019.
