Description

High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - Interior/exterior alterations and Change of Major Occupancy from Retail Limited Food (Group E) to Restaurant Class -1 (Group A2) on the first floor of this existing 24 storey Mixed-used building. One Class 5 and one Class 2 cooking operation. Garland E2S (Class 5) and Rational oven with its Ultra Vent attachment (Class 2) are used for non grease cooking operation only. A metal sign shall be securely mounted to the front of the type II hood (Rational Ultra vent) indicating: “COOKING CAUSING GREASE-LADEN VAPOURS IS NOT ALLOWED. EXHAUST SYSTEM IS DESIGNED FOR STEAM AND HEAT REMOVAL ONLY.” Scope of work includes: - Interior alteration to add/modify washrooms - Expand and alteration to existing outdoor patio (DB449600) - Interior alteration of layout and walls and add stair to access elevated patio deck Building Review Branch Notes: - Building Permit for DP-2020-00462 - Total occupant load is 46 (17 interior + 26 exterior +3 staff) - Upgrade to F1, S2, N1, A2, E2 as per part 11 of VBBL 2019. - For E2, upgrade to lighting to incorporate automatic Full off as per 9.4.1.1(h) of ASHRAE 90.1-2016 is chosen - Schedule A, B (Architectural , structural, plumbing) provided.
