- High Density Housing / Commercial - New Building - To construct a new 4 storey building on this site to be used as an office building (Group D occupancy) with an enclosed storage garage (Group F Division 2 cccupancy) at the South part of the main floor level. This building permit is related to BP-2019-05117 for the construction of a new film/TV production studio sound-stage w/ancillary service room and washroom facilities immediately to the West of 3664 Cornett Road. Both buildings will be occupied by Vancouver Film Studios. Mechanical Review Notes: 1. Class 3 cooking operations (Limited Smoke and Grease-laden Vapours) in the employee break room #325 and #425. 2. Domestic hood with a grease filter required. Limited smoke and grease laden vapours are produced (i.e. such as normal usage in a single-family home). 3. Post a sign, “This is a Class 3 Cooking Operation, with a grease capacity alike to a single-family residence. No commercial cooking is permitted, including preparation of meals for more than a normal household on a regularly repeated basis.” ** This Permit application has been reviewed under the 2014 VBBL ** REVISION #1 (Feb. 16, 2021, B. Smith): Amend floor assemblies F-2 & F-3 to ULC F904, add floor assembly F-2* (ULC F904), amend wall assembly W6* to ULC U415, add waterproofing note to sheet A60.3 re: waterproofing for below grade foundation walls, update affected sheets re: the new assemblies (Reflected ceiling plans, sections and wall assemblies), amend notes to roof assemblies re: insulation. Revision #2: Floor assembly type F-2, F-2*, and F-3 has now all been changed to C-UL D988 with a fire resistance rating of 2 hour of Type F-2, and a 1 hour fire resistance rating for type F-2* and F-3 as shown on amended architectural sheet A6.04.
