Description

Field Review - Addition / Alteration - Interior alterations to provide improvements for this new Retail Store tenant (La Canapa Dispensary) in this existing commercial building on this site. Scope of work: - Removal of one washroom & plumbing fixtures, interior walls & doors, dropped ceilings, and appliances. - Install interior walls & doors, millwork, plumbing fixtures & electrical work. DP-2021-00385 with BoV Z35818 - Approved September 7, 2021 OK for field review as per Rosa Astorino - Oct 4, 2021 Time limited expired September 07th, 2026 Board of Variance Appeal No. Z35818 was heard by the Board of Variance on September 07th, 2021 and was ALLOWED, thereby OVERTURNING the decision of the Director of Planning who refused Development Application No. DP-2021-00385 and APPROVED interior alterations and to change the use of approximately 1452 sq. ft. Retail Store to a Cannabis Store, in this existing mixed-use building on this site. Note: “No translucent or opaque film, artwork, posters, shelving, display cases or similar elements are to be installed on or directly outside or inside of the approved glazing frontages", and subject to the following conditions: (1) that the approval is for the exclusive use of Ian Fung and operating the business as La Canapa Dispensary; (2) that approved DP-Permit at 7963 Granville Street MUST BE CANCELLED prior to the issuance of the DP-Permit (DP-2021-00385) at 8002 Granville Street, in accordance with the Board of Variance's decision on September 07th, 2021; (3) that the Board granted a limited-time approval of five (5) years and expires on September 07th, 2026, and the Board may grant an extension to the time limit on or before September 07th, 2026; and (4) that the development shall otherwise comply with the requirements and regulations of the Zoning and Development By-law to the satisfaction of the Director of Planning.
