Description

Field Review - Addition / Alteration - Exterior and interior alterations to partially demolish this existing 3 storey and basement mixed-use building retaining the heritage façade for Heritage designation. OK for Field Review per W. Wong, March 2, 2021 Rev #1 issued June 17, 2021 (R. Foster) to remove and store off site the existing brick veneer from the Heritage façade, existing brick veneer will be re-installed as part of the building construction. The façade structure, cornice and window openings will be retained in place per original conservation plan as per email dated June 17, 2021 submitted by Tavis McCauley. If the cornice cannot be retained in-situ due to the removal of the brick the cornice is to be removed, reinstalled and rehabilitated. See Heritage Consultant, Don Luxton’s report dated June 10, 2021 attached to this permit. The Heritage Consultant is to advise of any changes. MA to DP not required for Rev #1 due to stability concerns and public safety as conveyed by the applicant and applicant’s reports as per James Boldt, June 17, 2021.
