- Field Review - Addition / Alteration - Unit #2201 Interior alterations to provide improvement for an existing multi-dwelling unit. The bulk storage is being relocated. Work to include replacing bathtub in MB bath, removing bank of closet doors, adding a door from MB built wall to create walk-in closet, add door from MB built wall to create a storage area in family room finished in drywall and paint. remove non-structural wall between 3rd bedroom and den to create a larger bedroom. Energy checklist is currently no longer required with your Building Permit (BP) application. Some supporting documents are still required at BP stage, specifically Envelope and HVAC, if applicable. Service Water Heating and Lighting supporting documents, if applicable, must be submitted with your related trades permits (e.g. electrical and plumbing). All energy upgrades will be checked during inspections stage. It is the applicant’s responsibility to identify and note all required upgrades including energy upgrades on their BP drawings at BP stage. E2-HVAC energy upgrade DBI to determine if sprinkler permit is required. The new storage should have exactly the same size as the previous one. (closet) Although it does not meet the BULK STORAGE AND IN-SUITE STORAGE bylaw (https://bylaws.vancouver.ca/Bulletin/b004.pdf).
