- High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - To construct a new 2-storey partial school replacement of the west portion of existing Dr. George Weir Elementary School. The new replacement school will be constructed as a new building, separated from existing school by a 2 hr firewall. Horizontal exits will be provided as part of existing school's mean of egress. East portion of existing school will have minor partition layout changes and provide accessible entrance from new parking area. The scope of work is considered Minor Renovation with upgrades F1, S2, N1, A2, E2. Multipurpose rooms R133 and R134 and associated spaces R135 to R142 and gymnasium will be used for out of school care program. Related to DP-2021-00595. Class 3 Cooking: 1.\tClass 3 cooking operations. 2.\tDomestic hood with a grease filter required. Limited smoke and grease laden vapours are produced (i.e. such as normal usage in a single-family home). 3.\tFor applications outside a dwelling unit post a sign, “This is a Class 3 Cooking Operation, with a grease capacity alike to a single-family residence. No commercial cooking is permitted, including preparation of meals for more than a normal household on a regularly repeated basis.” This permit has been reviewed under the 2019 Vancouver Building By-law (#12511). Related to DP-2019-00554. Revision 1 - issued October5, 2022 Scope of work includes: - Deletion of Class A loading bay from Killarney St - Deletion of exterior canopy and concrete play area - Deletion of exterior steel stair - Addition of suspended acoustic tile ceilings in areas as shown on arch dwgs. - Deletion of replacement stair and associated interior modification at Block 4. - Revision of design grades at new parking lot entrance. - Revision of design of interior and exterior stair handrails.
