- Certified Professional Program - New Building - To construct a new school to replace the existing, consisting of: - 4 storeys, first 3 storeys are for school, 4th storey is a child care facility, include fit out, which will support more than 8 children under 30 months of age and toddlers. - the anticipated number of occupants for the school 1,700 students, with 120 employees which includes teachers, assistants, administrative and supporting staff. - surface parking is provided east of the new school. - existing school will remain operational during construction, and serve as a swing school for other seismic school projects; to be demolished later. Class 1 Cooking - Level 1 Servery (Grease-Laden Vapours): 1.\tClass 1 cooking operations (Grease-Laden Vapours). 2.\tCommercial kitchen exhaust system to NFPA 96 (Type 1 hood). Class 3 Cooking - Level 1 Food Rooms, Level 4 Infant/Toddler Kitchen and Preschool Kitchen: 1.\tClass 3 cooking operations (similar to Dwelling Units). 2.\tDomestic hood with a grease filter required. Limited smoke and grease laden vapours are produced (i.e. such as normal usage in a single-family home). 3.\tFor applications outside a dwelling unit post a sign, “This is a Class 3 Cooking Operation, with a grease capacity alike to a single-family residence. No commercial cooking is permitted, including preparation of meals for more than a normal household on a regularly repeated basis.” This permit has been reviewed under the 2019 Vancouver Building By-law (#12511). Building to be sprinklered to NFPA 13 requirements.
