- Field Review - Addition / Alteration - To alter the interior & exterior of the Single Room Accommodation (SRA) residential units on the 2nd to 4th storey of this Municipally Designated Heritage "M" mixed-use building on the site The building at 208 East Georgia Street is protected heritage property. Alteration to the exterior of the heritage building requires a Heritage Alteration Permit issued with the approval of the Director of Planning. We support the attached stamped application and ask that you process it with the following wording included in the Development-Building Permit: “1)\tTo replace window assemblies in the light wells The alterations described under item no. 1 above, authorized by the Development Permit Number DB-2022-02188, including conditions and plans forming part thereof, are approved under By-law 9990 and this Development Permit also constitutes a Heritage Alteration Permit.” Scope of work includes: - Selective demolition and abatement (by licensed abatement contractor) - Domestic plumbing re-pipe throughout - New plumbing fixtures in existing locations throughout - Electrical re/re lighting, smoke detectors, emergency lighting and exits signage - Interior window replacement (light wells only) - Interior door replacement (reframe residence doors to be consistent width throughout, closers, lever handles, sweeps incl.) - Stair, guard, and handrail repair/replace where required (reinforce where required and ensure equal rise and runs) - Installation new finish flooring, sheet goods throughout - Provide contrasting stair nosings and tactile warnings at landings - Repair/maintain street facing windows, to be operable - Repair fire separations and firestopping where required - Re-verification of existing fire alarm system - re-roofing of the building and window wells Notes: 1. The conditions for housing’s approval of the permit for the London Hotel are listed within the decision notes. 2. Energy Exemption From submitted - Re&Re.
