Certified Professional Program - Addition / Alteration - Renovations and additions to the Royal Centre complex, including a major addition for a new 2 storey restaurant (A2) shell space on the west side of the existing office tower, conversion of part of the office tower lobby to a restaurant/coffee shop (A2) shell space that also includes a minor addition, an exterior canopy at the office tower and pavilion, and renovations in the 2 retail mall levels and 3 basement parking levels, this work will also result in a new retail (E) shell space in the upper retail level, in this existing 37 storey mixed use commercial tower. To be reviewed under the 2014 VBBL. This project is being classified as a major vertical addition with applicable upgrades of F4, S4, N4, A4 and E5. See summary of existing conditions report and by-law compliance report for agreed to upgrades. F4 upgrades as it relates to sprinklers have been waived as per Saul Schwebs. A generic AL has been accepted for existing stairs. This project is related to AL-2022-00033 Stage 1 - full construction - accepted Dec.1/22 Erv Revision 1 - Various updates as itemized on submitted letters from the architect and the mechanical engineer. and a change of CP effective October 3, 2025 from Robert Heikkila (outgoing CP) to Jaden Yoo .
