Certified Professional Program - New Building - To construct a six (6) storey building consisting of a Social Services Centre (Adult Day Care) on the ground floor and a Community Care Facility Class B with 150 beds on floors one (1) through six (6) all over one level of underground parking with access from Paulson St. This facility will replace the existing Dogwood Facility currently on site. This is a CP project, the outgoing CP is Naki Ocran, P.Eng. and incoming CP is Jeff Mitchell, P.Eng. commencing November 14, 2020. This permit has been reviewed under the 2019 Vancouver Building By-law (#12511). Building to be sprinklered to NFPA 13 requirements. Class 1 Cooking Operations at P1 level Food Services: 1.\tClass 1 cooking operations (Grease-Laden Vapours). 2.\tCommercial kitchen exhaust system to NFPA 96 (Type 1 hood). Class 3 Cooking Operations at Levels 1 to 6 Kitchen Serveries: 1.\tClass 3 cooking operations (Dwelling Units). 2.\tDomestic hood with a grease filter required. Limited smoke and grease laden vapours are produced (i.e. such as normal usage in a single-family home). 3.\tFor applications outside a dwelling unit post a sign, “This is a Class 3 Cooking Operation, with a grease capacity alike to a single-family residence. No commercial cooking is permitted, including preparation of meals for more than a normal household on a regularly repeated basis.” STAGED CONSTRUCTION Stage 1 - Full Structure - issued November 9, 2020 Revision 1 - Change of CP from Naki Ocran to Jeff Mitchell, effective November 14, 2020. Stage 2 - Full Construction - issued January 27, 2022. Revision 2 - Change of FDC locations and minor layout revisions in parking level, such as addition of compactor rooms to match M/A DP-2023-00010 and DP-2023-00094.
