- Field Review - Addition / Alteration - To alter the interior of this existing Retail Store (group E) to provide tenant improvements. Scope of works: 1. Emergency Lighting (VBBL Div. B, Part 9, Article 9.9.12.3): Add emergency lighting above exit door and in the proposed sale area. 2. Fire Separation (VBBL Div. B, Part 11, Flow Chart No. 2 – Note (3)): - Double layer of drywall required for all demising walls and ceiling/floor assembly - West demising wall against the corridor and the North demising wall against the boiler/storage room require a second layer of 12.5 mm GWB. - The demising walls do not go up to the full height to the floor above and there is currently a void of approx. 18-24" between the ceiling and floor area. Demising wall would need to frame up to the floor above to receive the required separation. 3. Doors in Fire Separation (VBBL Div. B, Part 9, Article 9.10.13.2.): Door separating the suite and the corridor required to have 45 min. rating and self-closing hardware. OK for Field Review as per Aemelia P. - June 21, 2023
