Description

Field Review - Addition / Alteration - 2466 E 41st Ave Exterior and Interior alterations for this existing Single Detached 2-storey house with basement. The DBI, Jenn Goodlad, performed site inspection prior to issuance to confirm scope of work to be covered in this permit application. Confirmed scope of work: Scope of work includes: 1) Enclosing the front covered porch into habitable floor area and constructing a new 3'11 by 7'6" landing at the front of the building. 2) New 8'6" by 23'6" deck at the rear (199.75sf) 3) Temporary 1 car gravel parking space to be provided at rear. Portion of parking is located at lane dedication area and property. Parking at this location is temporary in nature until lane has been dedicated. 4) Gutting the entire inside of the house and replacing all insulation, vapour barrier and drywall on ceiling and interior and exterior walls, replacing all windows, re-building the interior stairs (to conform with 2019 VBBL), replacing the soffit, gutters and downspouts, and installing Hardie Plank siding. Revision 1: South exterior stair configuration change and rear sunken patio updated. Sidewalk changed to 2'x2' slabs and permeability calc updated accordingly. No change in work value. Mechanical permit possibly required, depending on heating system proposed Exterior window trims to be proposed and approved. Related to CF:2022-004053 ReUP Upgrade (Required 4pts Proposed 5pts) Minor air sealing - Target 10% ACH improvement Attic insulation - If < R12 increase to R28, If >R12, increase to R40 Windows (2pts) - Replace 3 existing units with Energy Star USI < 1.22W/m2K Doors: - Replace two exterior doors, at least one achieving a USI < 1.64 W/m2K
