- High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - Building Permit for DP-2023-00080 Interior and exterior alterations to change the use and major occupancy from General Office (Group D) to School - University or College (Group A2) on the first to fourth floor level of this existing mixed use building. Suites #120 #150 and #300 are to be posted at the suite entries and in accordance with the Building By-law prior to final inspection. Building Review Branch Notes: F4, S4, N4, and A4 upgrades required. See commitment letter dated, July 28th, 2023 for N4 Upgrade. Site inspection and report of the required remedial work to be completed by September 15th, 2023 and provided to the City for review. Required N4 work to be completed prior to occupancy. Refer to AL-2023-00063 for interconnecting stair. ***Conditional Acceptance of this Alternative Solution for 2920 Virtual Way for two new unenclosed convenience stairs between the 3rd and 4th floors, without review of potential interactions with previously accepted and implemented equivalencies and alternative solutions, is provided subject to the following: 1. Prior to the issuance of occupancy permit, the owner will: a. Engage a code consultant to review the previously existing equivalencies and alternative solutions relevant to this complex of buildings to establish their applicability to the subject building. b. Establish a plan to resolve any inconsistencies or incompatibilities related to these equivalencies and alternative solutions, and the proposed new work and alternative solution. c. Coordinate with the code consultant to retire, revise, or replace the existing equivalencies or alternative solutions related to the affected complex of building to ensure compatibility with the subject alternative solution. 2. Develop an acceptable plan of action to establishing how they may simply the existing set of equivalencies and alternative solutions, and facilitate future tenant improvement and renovation work to the complex of buildings.
