- Certified Professional Program - New Building - To construct a 6 storey wood frame residential building (Heather Place Building B) consisting of 87 affordable rental dwelling units and a day care unit (Group C) for 8 or less children at the 1 st floor, all over one level of underground parking, as approved under the DPMA DP-2021-00881. Note: This 6 storey Heather Place Building B is part of a larger development approved under the DE418891. The developer decided to split the work into two Phases: - Phase I includes only Building B - Phase II incudes only Building C. Building B and Building C share common entrance to underground parkade connected via a vehicle opening at the imaginary line separating Phase I and Phase II. Building B and Building C will operate under the same ownership and cannot be stratified due to shared sanitary lines and water lines between the two buildings. Note: This is a combustible building constructed to 3.2.2.50 requirements per VBBL 2019. The childcare facility on the first floor is allowed to accommodate only 8 (eight) children in order to be considered group C major occupancy and to allow combustible construction. Any increase of capacity of the child care would classify this facility as A-2 major occupancy, and will require the child care to be separated by a fire separation with at least a 2 hr. fire-resistance rating constructed of concrete, masonry, or encapsulated mass timber. 12-June-2023 - Full Construction Stage issued. REVISIONS: 13-Oct-2023 - Rev#1 issued. Changes to shoring arrangement to south wall. 01-Dec-2023 - Rev#2 issued. Building Permit Amendment to address sanitary upsizing for the project. 29-May-2025 - Rev#3 issued. Building Permit Amendment to address civil, water, sanitary, storm changes.
