- This project involves correcting existing cross connection hazards and installing new, code compliant backflow prevention devices throughout the facility. 1. Install RP (Reduced Pressure) Assemblies on high hazard connections including: Boiler makeup water, lab dishwasher with chemical feed, Marielle Room (Steris sterilizer, Autoclave cooling lines, Jacket cooling lines for process tanks), Sprinkler Room (2- premise backflow, 3-gate valves), Non-sterile batching room, Pipette Cleaner (To be discussed with Jason and building manager), RO Generation (Main line to unit, Drain line on unit) (To be discussed with Jason and building manager), Drain cooling in RO Room, Hand Sprayer Safety Shower 2. Install HCVB (Hose Connection Vacuum Breakers) on all hose bibbs including: Janitor rooms, Lab/utility hose bibs, Outdoor hose bibs, Washdown areas 3. Install LFVB (Laboratory Faucet Vacuum Breakers) on lab faucets and fume hood stations. 4. Ensure Air Gaps (AG) are present and compliant for all eyewash stations and safety showers. 5. Remove or correct non compliant piping, including: Abandoned city water lines, Incorrectly labeled potable/non potable lines, Swing check valves on tank cooling lines 6. Add isolation valves and test ports where required for annual testing.
