- Certified Professional Program - New Building - To develop a 13-storey long term care facility (with 240 assisted living type sleeping rooms) consisting of: 1st storey – lower parking, loading, production kitchen, and building services. 2nd storey – principal entrance, 300 m2 multi-purpose facility for the use of the community, staff support area and upper parking. 3rd storey – Amenities for the residents and a Childcare facility -(12 toddlers and 25 preschool aged children) 4th to 13th storeys – 240 assisted living type sleeping rooms/ beds. The building is equipped with a 2-stage Fire Alarm. Radio antenna system to be installed in this building. Note: It has been determined with VFRS that: 1. 755 W 33 rd. Ave - Daycare response point for medical emergency 2. 750 W 32 nd. Ave - Daycare response point for fire emergency Mechanical Review Notes: Three cooking operations will be installed: - Level 1 Production Kitchen: Class 1. Commercial kitchen exhaust system to NFPA 96 (Type 1 hood). - Level 3 Bistro: Class 5. Appliances to be less than or equal to 6 kW. - Level 4 to Level 13 - two "Re-Therm Pantry" at each floor : Class 3. Domestic hood with a grease filter is required. Limited smoke and grease laden vapours are produced. 08-July -2025 - Stage 1 (E&S ) "BP BEFORE DP" issued. 12-Nov-2025 - Stage 2 (foundation to grade (incl. L2) struct. only issued. 17-Apr-2026 - Stage 3 (full permit) issued. Stage 3 released under the following conditions: 1. Kitchens in the childcare were not reviewed by VCH based on the children bringing their own meals and staff only preparing basic snacks. VCH review is required if more significant food preparation is planed. 2. Space beside the bistro that may be used by the third party at a later date was not reviewed. BP application for Revision to BP is required if the operator wants to use this space as of their food based business.
