Description

Certified Professional Program - New Building - To construct a new three-storey Neighbourhood House building (A2 occupancy - non-combustible construction) over one level of underground parking having vehicular access from Alice Street. The new building includes childcare with an open outdoor playground, adult day programs, and administrative support. Childcare: 12 for under 36 months. 25 for 30 months to school age. VBBL 2019 - NFPA 13 Mechanical Review Notes: - One Class 1 Cooking operation (Grease-Laden Vapours) proposed for Main Kitchen on Lever 2.  Commercial kitchen exhaust system to NFPA 96 (Type 1 hood). - One Class 3 Cooking operation (Domestic Hood with Electrical Range) proposed for Community Kitchen on Level 2. A sign shall be posted: “This is a Class 3 Cooking Operation, with a grease capacity alike to a single-family residence. No commercial cooking is permitted, including preparation of meals for more than a normal household on a regularly repeated basis.” Stage 1 - Full Construction issued on March 21, 2025.
