- Certified Professional Program - New Building - Related to Site Permit BP-2023-04189 - Marpole Transit Centre Complex Operations Building (Building 2) consists of two buildings, West OB and East OB. They are adjacent to each other with zero limiting distance. There will be horizontal exits and vehicular passageway openings between the West OB and East OB. The first and second storeys will be designed as open-air storeys. West Operations Building: To construct a 3-storey building consists of 1st Storey - bus parking and storage, 2nd storey - passenger vehicle parking and charging equipment, and 3rd storey - administrative offices and passenger vehicle parking. Principal entrance for West OB is at the exit stair at the southwest of the building. West Operations Building is connected to Maintenance Building by elevated pedestrian walkway. East Operations Building: To construct a 2-storey building consists of 1st storey - bus parking and storage, and 2nd storey - passenger vehicle parking and charging equipment and a 60 kV substation, and Roof - passenger parking. Principal entrance is at the exit stair at the southeast of the building. East Operations Building is connect to Pedestrian Tower by elevated pedestrian walkway. This permit has been reviewed under the 2019 Vancouver Building By-law (#12511) with amendments effective as of December 21, 2023. Building to be sprinklered to NFPA 13 requirements.
