- separated a lighting circuit and removed an old switch that was then replaced with the split circuit. The first part of this job I worked my way around the home and addict get familiar with circuit. I then removed the two device from the circuit and added a junction box. Once the box was in place I fished a wire down to where I removed the old switch. With the wire in place I placed the new switch in and tested the circuit
