- Description
- installed a surge protector and a new Tesla charger. I started the job by opening the panel to install the surge. I removed two breakers closest to the main breaker and moved them up. I then reduced the neutral tie on the surge by 5 inches to improve reaction time and installed the surge. I then covered the panel and started on the ev chargers. The ev circuit was in a 11/16 box on the wall beside the panel. I removed cover and replace it with a new cover that had a 3/4 in knockout. I then added a connector and wire. I spliced the wire into the circuit and closed the junction box. I used two straps between the ev charger and the junction box. The wire entered the bottom on the charger and terminates hots on the top and ground in the bottom
