- Addition and Renovation to basement of Single Unit Dwelling - A basement will be added under the home. The house will be pushed further into the lot and raise to build a basement. The home is 85 years old on paper so windows will be changed and load walls updated to code as well as many various upgrades inside the home. I am in the navy and working on this on my own, no contractor except for the digging/ house moving/ raising and electrical. The basement will not be finished at this time but the documentation in included on what will be there. Im already stretching my time and budget. A separate permit a few years down the road will be submitted to finish the basement. The lot is very swampy therefore a lot grading is requested as per drawings. Please confirm if a storm sewer is available in my situation or it was mentioned that a detailed dry well would be suggested by the city to disperse the water from the outside perimeter if the foundation.
