Occupant load = Max 335 persons Tenant: Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts) NOTE: Alteration in northwest corner (formerly Unit #309) and S3 & N4 upgrades will be processed under a separate permit (Phase 2). ******THIS PERMIT HAS BEEN ISSUED UNDER THE REQUIREMENTS OF VBBL 2019******** Building Review Branch Notes: - Separate permit is required for change major occupancy of 1,463 SF on the 7th floor from Office (group D; previously Unit #708) to Vocational School (Group A2) as a Phase 2. Phase 2 application must be submitted directly to the Project Coordinator within 6 months of issuance date of this BP upon the owner's commitment letter received on December 24, 2021. - Structural report by Struct. Eng. assessing S4 & N4 upgrades to entire building must be submitted by Jan 31, 2022. - Proposed F4 & A3 upgrades are to be verified at the site with District Building Inspector. - Acoustic ceiling tiles shall conform to VBBL 3.1.6.12.(3). - Permanent signage with the occupant load shall be posted in a conspicuous location. - Insulation in the partitions shall be noncombustible or conform to VBBL 3.1.5.14.(4). Insulation specification or testing result shall be submitted to DBI. Processed during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
